SERVICES OFFERED

DIAGNOSTIC CONSULTATION

In the diagnostic consultation, we will evaluate the symptoms, precipitating events, personality traits & family history relevant to anxiety disorders. If treatment is recommended, we will describe specific therapeutic approaches which offer the greatest potential benefit. If psychological treatment is not recommended, we will suggest relevant self-help techniques. We will make referrals for medical evaluations and/or medication assessment if needed.

TREATMENT PROGRAM

We will design a psychological treatment program to meet the specific therapeutic needs of each person. Components of the treatment may include education about patterns of thinking and acting that can reduce distress, relaxation training, self-management skills during anxiety-provoking moments and specific homework assignments. As needed, we will offer insight-oriented therapy, relationship therapy and other treatment modalities.

Individual treatment: the client meets individually with the psychologist for 45-50 minutes. Frequency of appointments is decided by the client and psychologist.

Group treatment: clients with similar problems work together with a psychologist in 90-minute sessions.

Two-day intensive treatment: This group treatment., led by Dr. Wilson, is designed to quickly provide guidance for clients who are already in treatment with other therapists or who are traveling from distant locations for treatment.

Treatment in Spanish available
